Laryl Riley is a private practitioner with Gastroenterology Specialists, Inc., which provides diagnostic and therapeutic management of digestive disease and liver disorders such as gastroesophageal reflux disease, chronic constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, hepatitis and advanced liver disease, and inflammatory bowel disease, as well as screening patients for colorectal cancer. Ms. Riley earned both her undergraduate degree in nursing and her master’s degree from the Primary Health Care Family Nurse Practitioner program in nursing at the University of Rhode Island.
Ms. Riley has over 35 years of professional experience, including critical care nursing, emergency nursing, endoscopy, and gastroenterology. In addition to being actively involved in community health initiatives providing educational programs in gastrointestinal health, she serves on the Nursing Initiatives Committee of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America, charged with developing educational programs for patients and for nurses caring for patients with inflammatory bowel disease.
