Dr. Susan Lucak is a practicing gastroenterologist in New York, NY, affiliated with Weill Cornell Medicine as well as Lenox Hill Hospital. She is a special lecturer at Columbia University Medical Center.
She received her medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she also trained in internal medicine and clinical gastroenterology. From 1987 to 2010, she was at Columbia University Medical Center as both a Research Fellow in gastroenterology and as a full-time faculty member.
Her clinical interest is in functional gastrointestinal disorders, particularly IBS. Her research efforts focused on evaluating the clinical efficacy and safety of treatments for patients with IBS. Currently, her endeavors are centered on educating healthcare providers about functional gastrointestinal disorders.
She was selected among the top 5% of New York City physicians in gastroenterology by her peers, as listed in the Super Doctors section of the New York Times Magazine from 2009 to 2016. In addition, she has been chosen as a Top Gastroenterologist in New York, NY by the International Association of Healthcare Professionals, and will be spotlighted in the publication called The Leading Physicians of The World.
Dr. Lucak is a paid consultant of Allergan and is being provided funding from Allergan in exchange for her participation as the Chair of the IBS CounSEL.
